Woodlands is a small home with 12 ensuite bedrooms; all except two are on the ground floor. Although the home is small we are able to offer everything you would expect from a larger home and we believe more!

We offer Specialised Residential Care for people with varying degrees of Dementia in a small, peaceful and homely environment by our team of qualified carers, some of whom have been with me at Woodlands since 2001.
I am Emma Purvis the Owner and Registered Manager since 1999. I live within the grounds with my family and am
'on call' pretty much 24 hours per day.
You can enjoy a quiet location set in two acres of grounds with a large duck pond and summerhouse for those fine days! If you enjoy gardening you can help our gardener tend to the planters and our very own vegetable plot which supplies the kitchen so you can enjoy the lovely fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs collected daily. Our aim is to provide a 'Home from Home' environment where we encourage you to be as independent and active as possible; Working with you; together we tailor a plan of care to meet your individual needs (That's the 'Person-Centred Care' but we like to word it differently)
If you are not quite ready for residential care and prefer to stay in your own home; we are able to offer you this option through 'Ruby Care', we are able to support you to lead an independent life in your own home. We have a respite room available which you can book for short breaks or just to see how life is with us at Woodlands before committing yourself long term. The room is available from as little as £495 per week
You will be cared for by our small team of dedicated and qualified staff 24 hours a day. All our care staff have achieved NVQ2 qualification and 70% have either achieved or are working towards NVQ3 enabling them to offer you quality personal care. All staff receive Dementia Training.
